Arthropods are the largest animal group in the world!

Arthropods are invertebrate (without backbone) animals with an exoskeleton, segmented bodies and six or more jointed legs. The exoskeleton is a hard, protective outer body covering. The arthropods grow bigger by the process of moulting (shedding and discarding the old exoskeleton).
